This contemporary horse has been created for those people that still want a traditionally carved horse but are concerned about the use of hardwoods. We decided to introduce this contemporary design using laminated beach as the base wood. During the design process we increased the amount of shape to the legs and hind quarters giving more defined leg muscles and hoofs.
This horse undergoes exactly the same carving and finishing process as the traditional model giving a the same Victorian look and feel. Skilled craftsman go through many, many hours hand painting, dappling, and final finishing. After final grooming these wonderful horses are ready for your family pass down through the generations.
The final horse with its straight on stance is an incredibly strong and stable ride for all to enjoy and comes complete with real horse hair mane and tail, removable leather bridle, padded leather saddle, solid brass stirrup irons, and mid brown Ash safety stand.
